Meditate On For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Romans 6:14 Put It Under God’s Grace Because of the cross of Jesus Christ, God is free to righteously bless all who simply believe in Him. The cross frees God to be gracious toward us even when we are undeserving, because Jesus bore the punishment for our sins. The more you believe this and meditate on this truth, the more you put yourself under the grace of God. What happens when you are under God’s grace? The Bible tells us that sin and all its effects will not have dominion in your life when you are under God’s grace. Suppose your doctor has told you that you have a weak heart. Go to God and say, “Father, I bring my heart to You and I put it under Your grace.” Something happens when you do that. The health of your heart no longer depends on what the specialists have said, or how severe the symptoms are. It doesn’t depend on your ability to do this or that. It now depend

Meditate On …He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness…of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more. John 16:8–10 The Spirit Convicts You Of Righteousness When I got saved as a young man, I remember how right after praying the sinners’ prayer, a counselor asked me, “Do you know what you have inside you now?” I said, “No.” He said, “Once you are saved, you have the Holy Spirit inside you.” Then, he said to me, “The Holy Spirit is the ding-dong bell inside you. He’s there so that when you do wrong, He’ll go, ‘Ding-dong! Ding-dong!’” And from then on, I felt like there was always somebody watching me, not to catch me doing right, but to catch me doing wrong. I began to see the Holy Spirit as a faultfinder! I’m so glad that I know better today. The Holy Spirit is not a “ding-dong bell,” and certainly not a faultfinder. He doesn’t convict believers of their sins. On the contrary, He convicts believer

Meditate On Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them… Matthew 19:13–14 No Queues At His Throne In this hectic, everybody-for-himself world that we live in, your friends and colleagues may not have time for you. Sometimes, even your loved ones may not have time for you. But don’t despair—Jesus always has time for you! Whether you come to Him at noon, in the night or in the wee hours of the morning, He has time for you! “But Pastor Prince, there are millions of believers on this planet vying for His time!” My friend, God being God lives outside of time. Whenever you come to His throne of grace, it’s as if you are the only child there—you have His undivided attention, love and care! You’ll never find a crowd there and Jesus telling you, “Take a queue number and wait for your turn.” So what is troubling you today? Do yo

Meditate On “I am…the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8 Jesus Always Has Time For You In spite of our best intentions, we often find ourselves too busy to do what we’d like to for people.  We  may be bound by time, but  Jesus , the one who created time, is not. He always has time for each one of us! Even in His earthly ministry, in His limited form as Man, He always had time to minister to people. Consider a typical day in His ministry: When a severely demon-possessed man cried out from the tombs of a distant region, He had time to sail all the way from Galilee to the country of the Gadarenes to save that lonely, tormented man. On the way there, He had time to respond to the cries of His disciples when a fierce storm arose. He awoke from a much-deserved sleep and calmed the storm for them. After He saved the demonized man and returned to Galilee, another man, Jairus, came to him for help. Jairu

Meditate On God sent forth His Son…to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4–5 A Matter Of Spirit As an heir of God, you have a rich inheritance. All the blessings of your heavenly Father are yours! “Well, Pastor Prince, if it’s true that I am an heir of God because I’m His son, then why am I still not seeing the blessings?” I asked the Lord the same question once. I said, “Lord, why is it that there are believers who don’t seem to be blessed despite the fact that they are Your sons and heirs?” The Lord said this to me, “It’s a matter of spirit.” Then, He pointed me to Romans 8:15, NIV—“For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, ‘ Abba , Father.’” He was telling me that walking in His blessings has to do with having a spirit of sonship. How does the spirit of sonship operate? By the cry, “ Abba , Father!” The Holy Spirit lef

Meditate On …you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” Romans 8:15, NASB ‘Daddy!’ The Lord told me once that walking in His blessings was a matter of spirit—walking in the spirit of sonship. And beloved, this is how the spirit of sonship operates—by us turning to God and crying out, “ Abba , Daddy!” like little children. Today, I want to encourage you to call upon God with the greatest sense of intimacy. Call Him Daddy, Papa or  Abba  and just speak to Him right from your heart. When the going gets tough, go somewhere quiet and talk to Him. Say, “Daddy, I want to tell you about this problem at work that I am facing.” If you have a sickness in your body and you need healing, come to your Father and say, “Daddy, Daddy, I need to hear Your words of life and promises of healing for this condition.” Let me tell you, He will surely speak to you! When you feel so overwhelmed that you don’t know what to pray, just call out to your D

Chris Onayinka Olusegun Romans 12:3 KJV [3] For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Faith is a generic word which application differs throughout the scriptures . A preacher must not just be sound in his interpretation of scriptures but must also be seen as sound 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV [15] Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The rule of bible interpretation demands amongst many others the basic requirement to examine terms in context . It means to study the pretext and post text and also similar texts and consequently view the text or better still in context . Also ,the use of corroboration is vital 2 Corinthians 13:1 KJV [1] This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses s

Chris Onayinka Olusegun I was brought up under very rigid church atmosphere ,to humor during a sermon was almost Like a sin,, Then came " knowledge" we felt we had been too religious ,somewhat and somehow ,we threw away the baby with the bath water.. We introduced fun into services, From dance steps to many other things , " to the pure all things are pure ", we must have quoted . What we failed to see is the side effects of entertainment Lightness Looseness Loquaciousness The spirit of lasciviousness prevailed . Then the latest miasma .. Comedy. Sad enough ,recently I found myself laugh at one of such instances ,and quickly I Checked myself " are you losing your mind " I asked myself Comical jokes and ridiculous jokes poked at scripturally awed activities Jokes about casting out demons ( when fewer believers actually cast out Demons ) Mockery about tongues ( called a communication with the Father ) Gifts of the spirit used

HANDLING THAT BROTHER WITH CARE.

One of the sore points in many denominations I have observed is the inability to handle moral failings of fellow believers and even ministers. Many have applied the wrong judgment call. The Corinthian brother. If sin was the issue Paul ought to have excommunicated the entire church. 1 Corinthians 3:3 KJV [3] For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? The entire church was riddled in sin. Strife and envy are terrible sins. James 3:14-16 KJV [14] But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15] This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16] For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. James calls it satanic. They had more contending matters in Corinth. 1 Corinthians 8:12 KJV [12] But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. They we

Local Church Matters

What to do when a brother or sister is rebuked in your local assembly. Oftentimes we don't know what to do when we see or hear a brother has been found in a wrong and openly rebuked.  We oftentimes go to one extreme or the other,  At Times we avoid the person, which isn't wrong if it's rebellion against authority or if we are so instructed for example 1 Corinthians 5:13, Romans 16:17-18, 2 Thessalonians 3:14. However, another extreme is to show pity! A brother or sister under discipline needs everything but our emotional disposition or sentiment. What He / she needs is supply of the Spirit of Christ This is effective in prayer: Ephesians 6:18 is a clear instruction for all saints. We can NEVER be wrong praying for wisdom and insight into the Word for such a believer. Don't get things mixed up even if the brother is a friend, sibling or spouse and if the sister is too taking sides will ruin the person, no side comments or gist, Just do the Word Don't gossip!!! J

Meditate On Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?...Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:35, 37 More Than Conquerors Through Jesus’ Love Jesus said, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head” (Matthew 8:20). I find this statement so beautiful. Let me tell you why. In the original Greek text, the word for “lay” is a very unique word,  klino . The only other place it is used in terms of Jesus resting His head is at the cross. When Jesus hung on the cross and cried, “It is finished!” the Bible says, “And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit” (John 19:30). The word “bowing” here is the same Greek word,  klino . Beloved, it was only at the cross that the Son of Man finally found a place to rest His head. Jesus found His rest in redeeming us, in loving us. We, in turn,

Meditate On Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. Psalm 34:3 Magnify The Lord When we give thanks to the Lord—when we praise and worship Him—we are magnifying Him (Psalm 34:3). Why is this important? It’s because often, when we are beset by challenges, we tend to dwell on them so much until they grow into huge, hairy monsters in our minds! We give them so much weight that we forget that the Lord is far bigger than all the problems in the universe put together. That’s why we need to magnify the Lord (make Him big in our consciousness) instead. As we give weight to His presence and His love for us, our mountains become small. As we give weight to His power to dissolve problems and obstacles in our lives, what those problems and obstacles can do to us become insignificant in the light of what the Lord can and will do for us! So beloved, if you have a sickness, magnify the Lord your healer. If you are suffering financial lack, magnify the

Meditate On And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16 Blessings Of The Lord’s Beloved Jesus loves ME. Three simple words that can make a big difference in your life when you believe them. For some time, a precious lady in the Netherlands had been believing God for a financial provision. Then, she watched one of my television broadcasts and caught a revelation of how much the Lord loves her. For the first time, she prayed for her financial need with the revelation that Jesus loves her. “That very day,” she said, “two new clients called me. The following week, I asked God again for His provision, simply trusting and resting in His love for me. Guess what? Three new clients called! Now, I know it’s because Jesus loves me that He blesses me. It’s not because of what I’ve done or not done. Getting a revelation of this truth has made such a difference that I am sharing it with

Meditate On As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. John 15:9 You Are The Disciple Whom Jesus Loves I used to think that of all the disciples Jesus loved, John was most loved by the Lord because the Bible calls him “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” Then one day, I discovered that the phrase, “the disciple whom Jesus loved,” only appears in John’s Gospel. In other words, it was John who called himself the disciple whom Jesus loved! Was John being arrogant? Did Jesus love him more than the rest? No, Jesus loved all 12 disciples the same, but John knew it and he personalized and practiced Jesus’ love for him. My friend, that’s what you ought to do too. Don’t just say, “Yes, yes, Jesus loves everybody.” Say, “Jesus loves ME!” Say, “ I  am the student whom Jesus loves,” or “ I  am the mom whom Jesus loves!” Every day, personalize, practice and rest in Jesus’ love for you. Expect good things to happen to you when you believe that Jesus loves YOU in a

Meditate On …to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness… Daniel 9:24 Once Righteous, Always Righteous You may have seen high-speed video footages of a caterpillar turning into a colorful butterfly. But have you ever seen a butterfly changing back into a caterpillar? Of course not! Why? Because it’s impossible! It’s the same with your salvation. Once you are saved, you are saved forever. The righteousness that you have in Christ is an  everlasting  one—you cannot become unrighteous again. Once you are born again as a child of God, it is impossible for you to become “unborn.” Once you are a saint washed by the blood of Jesus, in God’s eyes, you cannot revert to your old, unsaved sinner state. Even if you fall into sin, you are still the righteousness of God in Christ because your justification is not by works, but by faith in Jesus Christ (Galatians 2:16). Let’s come back to the butte
