This is a fairly long article but this has to be brought into the light and every student of the Scripture should follow these series. It is reported in the book of Galatians by Paul that he stood up to Peter and rebuked him publicly because he was to be blamed (clearly in the wrong). It is an often quoted scripture today in the use of public rebuke and it has begun to enter into the modern Christian culture. Ephesians 1:3 Rest In The Finished Work Jesus has finished the work of saving and redeeming us (John 19:30), and when we believed in Jesus as our Savior, God placed us in Jesus’ finished work. Today, all we need to do is rest in the finished work. We rest in the finished work by simply believing that all the work to save us and keep us eternally forgiven, righteous and blessed is finished. This is important because there are many voices today telling us to work for God’s approval and acceptance before He will bless us—as if the work isn’t finished. The works we do in our faith today are not done to receive Christ, that we have already done. It is as we walk with Him in fellowship that He teaches us how to live on the earth. He shows us things no man's eye has ever seen nor ear heard, all by His Spirit in us. He shows us the true meaning of things we've long observed without understanding their true purpose. It is this walk in His wisdom that produces results and fruits in our lives that attract others. They ask us how are you getting things done this way, our reply is "you must be born-again" without being born of the Spirit you neither can see nor enter into these things.  Does this please God, the works we do today, does it gladden His heart, Is He delighted in such children? The world is living under the reality of the effects of sin, but man has little or no information about the evil called 'sin'.
