UNDERSTANDING THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION

17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-21 KJV

As we know “God created heaven and earth” 1, “The earth is the LORD’S and the fulness thereof…”2. All that He created is His, He created them for a purpose, everything He has created has a destiny to accomplish, which will fulfill its course in order to make a better place for us to His glory. God has been existing long before He created the world, He reigns and the angels exalt His name all times. He created the world for a purpose, the man in His “image”3 and also He said “You are gods, and all of you are sons of the Most High”4. There was an instruction to be obeyed but it was disobeyed, note that, the Garden of Eden was on earth where the devil is already residing on10, there was no direct restriction to the garden, which made the devil have access when God wasn’t with the man, the devil used the serpent to deceive man (the devil longs to be above God and wants to receive the worship due to Him)5. So, by one man’s disobedient sin and death reigns6, (sin is the devil, death is the devil’s judgment, which comes in a short time7). The devil knew God will not accept disobedient but he didn’t know that God will reconcile man back to Himself with so much power-equipped in Him8. By one man’s obedient righteousness and life reigns9 forever (God is righteousness, life is Jesus, life which has becomes the gift given to us to live eternally11).
“God was in Christ,” Jesus Christ couldn’t do anything if God wasn’t in Him, because He is the Son and God the Father “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him”12. God was the power behind redemption “reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them”, God is solely interested in saving man from sin and put him right before Him through Jesus “who knew no sin” was made sin that the world through Him be made righteous. In this, we are not of ourselves anymore but “I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me”13. So, in that form we are “Christ-ian” and we are still “…are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High”4 and also the Holy Spirit lives in us, “For you didn't receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba <Note: Abba is an Aramaic word for father or daddy, often used affectionately and respectfully in prayer to our Father in heaven.>! Father!"14.
There are different ministries that which God has put man to oversee and perform great things. Jesus said “I can guarantee this truth: Those who believe in me will do the things that I am doing. They will do even greater things because I am going to the Father”15. Jesus also has a ministry He fulfilled “Jesus was about 30 years old when he began [his ministry] 16 and the ministry of Jesus supersede the former even the former lost their glory and even though they have glory the glory of the ministry of Jesus is much more see 17. Knowing that the ministry of Jesus brought us life that we can approach the throne of God with confidence18.
The ministries which we are now,

“God has done all this. He has restored our relationship with him through Christ, and has given us this MINISTRY of restoring relationships.19”

Whatever ministry we have; LOVE, PEACE, MUSIC, TEACHING, PRAYING, EVANGELISM, SHEPHERDING, etc. They must all reconcile man to God, because our ministry is solely from God, of God, and for God, “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”20.
