Visibility and Tangibility (Continued)

THE ISAAC EFFECT

Earlier, Isaac had been pushed away by Abimelech and his gang.

"And Abimelech said to Isaac, GO AWAY FROM US, FOR YOU ARE MUCH MIGHTIER THAN WE (you are too much/ powerful for us.)
Gen. 26:16 (Addition Mine)

Isaac was yet to do any harm, yet he was rejected. God's presence, the same that brings attraction in many places, also brings rejection in certain places. It's the same presence! Not everyone can bear its weight. Not everyone can stand to have you so radiant, smart, joyful, dutiful, upright, resourceful, productive, wise and favoured all at the same time. It seems too good to be true. It hurts some. It stuns others. It's rare to them.

You might be in a place right now where you are persecuted for doing nothing other than your duty. Don't be worked up. It's not a strange thing. It just might be the Isaac Effect. "You don't have to have done anything". It does happen. When light steps into darkness, darkness might attempt a coward protest.

BUT....

Isaac took the effect further. He didn't become proud and superior about the whole thing, or he might have short-circuited the process. Instead, through dilligence, focus, skill, consistency, wisdom, humility, he got the same folks coming back later.

"Then Abimelech came to him from Gerar with Ahuzzath, one of his friends, and Phicol the commander of the army. And Isaac said to them, 'Why have you come to me, since you hate me and have sent me away from you?'

But they said, 'We have CERTAINLY SEEN THAT THE LORD IS WITH YOU. So we said, LET THERE NOW BE AN OATH BETWEEN US, BETWEEN YOU AND US; AND LET US MAKE A COVENANT WITH YOU, THAT YOU WILL DO US NO HARM.....YOU ARE NOW BLESSED OF THE LORD."
Gen. 26:26-29

This time they came for peace, not war. For ultimately, you cannot fight a blessed man. They had made their conclusions. It is folly to fight a man highly blessed and favoured or to contend with the supernatural force.

They will come back!
