CONCERNING SPIRITUAL GROWTH

CONCERNING SPIRITUAL GROWTH An excerpt (3) "Therefore, in Bible teaching, as laid down in the Epistles and also seen in Jesus’ example in Luke 24:25-27, 44-46, visions and revelations MUST be established on the revelation – the Written Word! In essence, to properly understand chapter two and three (the Letters to the Churches, given via visions, utterances and interactions with angels), it is necessary to firstly understand the revelation – The gospel of Christ Jesus, which John explained in Revelation 1:4-6 and in all his other letters (1st, 2nd and 3rd John). Definitely, and rightly so, this is the SOLE reason for the erroneous beliefs and practices by some believers – To read or study chapter two and three (amongst many others), without firstly understanding Revelation 1:4-6. Therefore, in studying the book of Revelation, the moment the visions, utterances and interactions with angels contradicts the written word, we are at liberty to discard them. Paul...

CONCERNING SPIRITUAL GROWTH

CONCERNING SPIRITUAL GROWTH An excerpt (2) ""Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. Vs 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Vs 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. The phrases “I saw” (Verse 1 & 2) and “I heard” (Verse 3) clearly show that this was a vision. Hence, the need to apply caution in interpreting the texts. Verse 1 Now, the phrase “I saw” was translated from the Greek word “eido”; which implies to know, to be aware; to consider; to address one’s mind to a fact. It was used 70 times in this book (of Revelation), often to refer an awareness or a consideration o...

CONCERNING SPIRITUAL GROWTH

An excerpt (1) "So, where did Jesus offer His blood? The word “purified” (Hebrews 9:23) was translated from the Greek word “katharizo”, which implies to cleanse out or wipe out. The writer also spoke about Jesus purging our sins in Chapter one Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Notice that the first thing he did was to wipe out our sins and then sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high. Now, observe how the writer explained it (where Jesus offered his blood) in Context (Hebrews 9), Hebrews 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: Vs 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your consci...

My Verdict! You Can Gain Mastery in Every Area of Life

I once read a story about a young athlete in the high jump category. While training, the athlete experienced some difficulty in jumping over a particular height. He will run close to the bar, measure himself against it and then go back to the starting point. After attempting and hesitating several times, he asked his coach. "How do I go over this bar? I feel I should be able to go over it but I do not know how?" The coach’s response was: "Son, throw your heart over the bar and your body will go over it." What a remarkable story! The coach was teaching this athlete that to gain mastery over hurdles he must first gain mastery in his mind. And come to think of it, there are certain key areas of life that you have to gain mastery over if you really want to be successful in whatever you do. When you neglect one, even though the effect may not be obvious now, it would certainly catch up with you. Just a matter of time! Your life is like a vehicle running on wheels an...

DIVORCE.

Image
DO WHAT GOD SAYS NOT WHAT THE WORLD SAYS . When people wonder what causes divorce, they say faults could come from either the husband or the wife – it could be infidelity or adultery and this goes on from generation to generations in this manner. What bothers is that, what happens in one place is similar or the same in other places. The figures are mind-blowing especially in the US, Europe and other regions of the world. Back in the days when Jesus was on earth; the Pharisees asked Jesus about this subject 2 but people misinterpreted what Jesus said about divorce. There were two things Jesus said, He pointed out what Moses told them to do which was according to the hardiness of the people’s heart which said that they can file a certificate of divorce on the bases of adultery 2 : secondly He said God plan marriage for both the man and the woman who are two people to become one flesh 2 – one flesh . And then said anyone who divorces his wife or anyone who divorces her husband ...

R ELIEF. E XERTION-FREE. S ORROW-FREE. T RANQUILITY Rest is an assurance state that nothing evil is permitted to penetrate your life neither fear nor sorrow, it is rest assured by Jesus. The word rest can be explained again as peace ; remember Jesus said peace I give not as the world gives, in this world you will face tribulations take heart (rest your mind) I have overcome the world 1 . The Greek word for “rest” is katapausis equivalent to the Hebrew word Noah (Heb. 4:1). Anapuasis, “rest from weariness” (Matt. 11:28). Anesis “relaxation” (2 Thess. 1:7). Sabbatismos, a Sabbath rest, a rest from all work (Heb. 4:9; Revised Version “Sabbath”), a rest like that of God when He had finished the work of creation. The assurance and the reassurance of rest is only activated in believing God for rest, which He has promised in His words. When God rested the seventh day He did nothing at all – nothing, rather He stayed off to get rest from work – the question may arise was God tired?...

4 Truths That Will Turn Your Frown Upside Down

Image
by Joyce Meyer Would you like to be in a good mood every day? You are probably thinking,  Yes, of course I would. Who wouldn’t?  I spent a lot of years being controlled by a variety of moods and believing I had no choice in how I felt. I envied all the “happy people.” I used to wonder,  What is their secret? Why them and not me? Then I finally learned that our mind, mouth, moods and attitudes are all intricately connected. First you think , and then your thoughts turn into  words  that you speak, and the two of them together affect you emotionally and turn into  moods  and  attitudes . For years, I paid no attention to what I was thinking, and I didn’t make the connection between my thoughts and the rest of my life. But the Lord has taught me many things from His Word about the “mind connection” since those early days, and I’m excited to share some of those truths with you. You Can Choose How You Think Although we don’t always have the powe...

UNDERSTANDING THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION

17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-21 KJV As we know “God created heaven and earth” 1, “The earth is the LORD’S and the fulness thereof…”2. All that He created is His, He created them for a purpose, everything He has created has a destiny to accomplish, which will fulfill its course in order to make a bet...

GOD AND GOD ALONE

I have heard people say their gods will see them through but I ask myself are they really god? Do they live forever? How do they come to be? Is there limit to when they can exist? Lucifer himself is he a god? The bible tells us that there was war in heaven the devil desire to be above God, he himself is not god but an angel designated to adore God (the devil was created with precious stones). The question is why did the devil desired to be above God? This was as result of pride, ‘is it only God?’ (The expression of his pride explains that the devil envies the worship due to God). Isaiah 14:12-14 KJV, 12  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:       ...

PRAYER... connecting to God.

# 0001P                            Prayer is a connection to God, not just connection but the current flowing through the Connector (Jesus) to God. Prayer is not merely asking, requesting, not merely questing it is graciously conversing with God for revelation and transfiguration of the mind, soul, heart, body and spirit into the person of the fullness of Christ Jesus. So converse with God not just as the Judge but as the Father. Hebrews 4:16 KJV 16 "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" Enter into His throne as a child [in the Son] to obtain mercy [revelation] in the time of needs. [Be notice] whatever you want to ask as already being provided for, just receive them by faith, it might tarry but all that you ask will be given you (see: James 1:2-4). God has m...
