It depicts His love ,

John 3:16 KJV
[16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Knowledge is Salvations' greatest gift to us

John 17:3 KJV
[3] And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

To know christ Jesus

1 Timothy 2:4 KJV
[4] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

The knowledge of the Son of God

Ephesians 4:13 KJV
[13] Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

This is what makes the faith one .

When we are precise with this it affects how we see things

John 4:10 KJV
[10] Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

It's recognition .

We have since seen,this knowledge is embedded after Jesus rose from the dead .

John 16:12-13 KJV
[12] I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

All the truth proceeded from his death and resurrection .

There's so much limitation before then ,limits to what was seen and known

Luke 10:24 KJV
[24] For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them ; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Kings like David,Prophets like Abraham and Isaiah .

If the four gospels was superior in knowledge for them and yet it didn't have all truth ,the gold mines in knowing lie in the letters to the church .

The writer of Hebrews explained this too

[40] God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Hence the believers' mirror is found in the epistles .

He must not be found seeing himself earlier than this .

If he should at all,it should be with insights from the epistles as guide

All scriptures were written for salvation through faith

2 Timothy 3:15 KJV
[15] And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

This refers to the Old Testament books .

Yet we mustn't see ourselves in the characters therein.

Jesus had instances he made such distinction

Matthew 5:43 KJV
[43] Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

Moses gave this edict .

[44] But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
[45] That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

We take initiative from the Father ,our natural inclinations .

We mustn't be digging into those historical facts without understanding .

He was told to act like Elias

[54] And when his disciples James and John saw this , they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

They said this because they lacked recognition to make distinction .

Some still do today .

" when the Spirit is upon me ,I will dance like david dance "

David didn't need the Spirit to dance ,because he danced with all his might .

We still say like david " surely I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever "

Solomon not david built the house .

1 Chronicles 28:3 KJV
[3] But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood.

Hence david couldn't have been referring to that .

He was a prophet,

Acts 2:30 KJV
[30] Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

He was for seeing christ.

The house of God is in Him.

David speaks of redemption .

When we lack this recognition ,we talk like david .

Jesus rebuked his disciples who asked him to act like Elias

[55] But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

We are taught in the epistles to look unto Jesus and away from characters of the old

[2] Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;

Away from the cloud of witnesses earlier mentioned .

For they knew in partial ways

We recognize in the Son

Hence Pauls' prayer for Philemon

We can only be well recognized in christ .

Just as Jesus taught earlier

[20] At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

This is the day .

We are found in Him

Colossians 3:3 KJV
[3] ..and your life is hid with Christ in God.

So is He found in us too.

[27] To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Christ in us .

John 14:23 KJV
[23] and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

It's not a renewable residence .

John 14:16 KJV
[16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

We hold God within in an everlasting estate .

Sonship is not an mere status ,it's a nature

[1] Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:
[2] Beloved, now are we the sons of God

You don't renew nature

We have His spirit

16] The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

His spirit is His nature,we have that now

You understand it and walk in its benefits .

1 John 4:4 KJV
[4] Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

We are of The God breed

The new species of man .

The old man in Adam is dead.

The new man in christ is eternal life .

We must behold this

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
[17] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Feed on it till our lifestyle adapts to who we are .

Like James taught to look into the mirror till your deed is blessed .

James 1:25 KJV
[25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein , he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Notice the term " therein " is italicized .

It means continue to look.

Even when your conduct is unbecoming of sons .

As they did oftentimes in Corinth .

[2] Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

They didn't know they had become judges .

To judge the world and Angels

1 Corinthians 6:3 KJV
[3] Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

They acted besides their nature and walked as mere men

1 Corinthians 3:3 KJV
[3] For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

Yet Jesus had spoken earlier about the status of sons

John 10:34 KJV
[34] Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

This referred to magistrates in  the Hebrew language ,rulers ,those who took judicial decisions and granted justice .

Psalm 82:6 KJV
[6] I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

The pretext sums it all up and post text too

[1] God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
[2] How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

[8] Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

This refers to rulers who gave judgment .

Like Moses to Pharaoh

Exodus 7:1 KJV
[1] And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

Not God referring to deity ,that's impossible .

But god referring to judge ,take authority over ,give judgments to.

You must precede a man to be his God like God is to us,and create him too,

Jesus referred to judges.

In Christ ,we have recieved the capacity to judge

1 Corinthians 2:15-16 KJV
[15] But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16] For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

We have His mind .

We judge all things .

The Corinthian brethren didn't know this and acted like mere men .

Since the Father has given all judgment to the Son

John 5:22 KJV
[22] For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

The first begotten .

Hence our boldness in the day of judgement .

Not judgment of believers .

Sons aren't judged at that

John 5:24 KJV
[24] Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

We are passed from death to life .

It's the judgment of the world

We have boldness in this day

1 John 4:17 KJV
[17] Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

We judge as He does,because we are as He is .

Not by our works of our own righteousness .

But his righteousness found in us and we found in Him

Philippians 3:9 KJV
[9] And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

We must immerse ourselves in these realities .

And know who we really are !

Sons of God in reality .

New creatures in truth

Men of the God kind essentially .
